Our new mesh tables work as rezzers. This means that when a game is turned on, the table rezzes the game elements on top. As a visual illustration, let’s examine these two pictures.
No. As you can clearly see in this second picture, the game elements are rezzed on top of the base theme. In the picture they’ve been lifted off the table and left to float in the air.
Because our tables now act as rezzers, there are a couple of issues that can happen due to user error. If you try to pick up a game table while a game is actively running on it, you may mistakenly grab the game elements instead. You will receive the following message if you then try to rez out the game elements from your inventory.
“DO NOT REZ GAMES DIRECTLY FROM YOUR INVENTORY! Games must ONLY be rezzed using the Games menu on a Game System or they will not work correctly!”
You’ll receive this message because you’re trying to rez out the game elements alone, instead of the game table. In this case, you can go ahead and delete the game elements you have rezzed and any copies in your inventory. Instead, rez out a fresh copy of your table or theme, and use that to start your game fresh. You can get more details by visiting this FAQ entry.
